Two on-ramps into skilled trades.

Construction Laborers do the unskilled labor on construction sites — material handling, site cleanup, demolition, support work — and most use the role as an apprenticeship pipeline into a specific trade. Shop Helpers do the same in fabrication shops, garages, and industrial maintenance.

Apply across both roles

OSHA 10 is the universal credential — most employers require it on day one. Beyond OSHA, helpers stack credentials slowly while learning a specific trade.

OSHA 10

OSHA 10-hour Construction Outreach is universally required for entry-level construction work. Many employers cover the cost; classes available online and at apprenticeship training centers.
